My First Visit to APCO Laminator: A Journey Through Legacy and Emotion

My First Visit to APCO Laminator: A Journey Through Legacy and Emotion

As I walked through the doors of APCO Laminator for the first time, a strange mix of emotions flooded my heart. There was a sense of pride, nostalgia, and even a touch of awe. This wasn’t just any business—it was a symbol of hard work, dedication, and the legacy of three generations, including my husband’s. I could feel the weight of tradition and the love that had been poured into this space over the years.

APCO Laminator is much more than a workplace for me. It is where my husband’s grandfather—whom we affectionately call “baba”—first laid the foundation, a place where my father-in-law, papaji, carried the torch forward, and now, my husband continues their mission. Each step I took inside felt like a tribute to the men who had worked so tirelessly to build this business, and I couldn’t help but feel deeply connected to it. It wasn’t just a company; it was a part of our family’s legacy.

The workshop was a fascinating sight—machines buzzing, people working with focus. There were massive lamination machines, cutting-edge cutting machines, and stitching and binding machines that looked intimidating but were all part of the intricate process. I was amazed at the precision and care with which every task was executed. And yet, it was so humbling to see how, despite the advanced machinery, the business still ran on the foundation of hard work and dedication. With just two staff members running the operations, the space felt more intimate—like an extension of the family.

What struck me most, though, was the small Devi temple outside the office. I’ve always felt that certain places have a soul, and this temple, despite being so simple, had an undeniable presence. It only opens during Navratri, a festival that has always held a special place in my heart. Celebrating it here, at my husband’s workplace, felt like a spiritual connection to both our family and the divine. It was a moment where faith, tradition, and family converged in a way that touched me deeply.

Reflecting on this visit, I felt incredibly proud and fortunate to be part of this journey—this incredible mix of legacy, tradition, and modernity. APCO Laminator isn’t just about the work; it’s about the emotions, the stories, and the memories that surround it. As I left the office that day, I realized that my connection to this place goes beyond just being my husband’s workplace. It’s a living, breathing testament to the love, struggles, and victories of a family that has made something beautiful.

For me, this visit wasn’t just a tour—it was an emotional experience, a reminder of where we’ve come from, and a glimpse of the future that lies ahead. The pride I feel for my husband and his family today will stay with me forever.

I would love to hear your thoughts on this journey I’ve shared. Have you experienced something similar in your family or workplace? How do you connect with your heritage and the legacy of those before you? Feel free to leave your comments below!

A Bond Beyond Words: My Relationship with Mummyji

A Bond Beyond Words: My Relationship with Mummyji

Some relationships in life come naturally, while others take time to build, to understand, and to grow into something meaningful. My relationship with Mummyji falls somewhere in between. It wasn’t something I had planned or imagined, but it became a part of my life—sometimes comforting, sometimes challenging, yet always significant.

The First Steps into a New Family

When I got engaged, I knew that I wasn’t just stepping into a new phase of life but also into a new family. With that came new bonds, expectations, and unspoken responsibilities. Among them, the most delicate yet crucial one was my relationship with Mummyji.

In the beginning, it was a mix of formality and respect. She had her ways, her beliefs, and her expectations. I, on the other hand, had my own personality, my habits, and my independent way of doing things. Naturally, there were moments of silence, moments of understanding, and moments where we both didn’t know what to say to each other.

Finding Comfort in the Small Things

Over time, I realized that Mummyji expresses care in ways that are different from what I was used to. She might not always say it in words, but her actions often speak for her.

  • The way she notices small things about me—whether I ate on time, whether I’m feeling tired, whether something is on my mind.
  • The way she sometimes calls out my name in a tone that carries both authority and concern.
  • The way she prepares food in a certain way, as if making sure I get a taste of home even in this new house.

These are the little things that I started to notice, and in them, I found a different kind of warmth.

The Moments That Stay with Me

Of course, no relationship is perfect. There are days when we don’t see eye to eye, when silence feels heavier than words, and when I feel like she doesn’t understand me the way I wish she would. But then there are also days when she unknowingly becomes my biggest support—when a simple gesture from her makes me feel like I belong.

There are times when I feel lost, unheard, or overwhelmed. And in those moments, I sometimes find myself wishing Papaji was here because he would have listened, understood, and probably fixed things in his own way. But deep down, I know that Mummyji is also navigating her own emotions, her own way of adjusting to this new phase where she is no longer just a mother but also a mother-in-law.

Beyond Just a Title

A mother-in-law and daughter-in-law relationship is often painted as complicated, but at its core, it is simply a relationship between two people—one who has spent her life taking care of a family and another who has just stepped into it.

We may not always agree.
We may not always express everything we feel.
But there is a silent understanding that continues to grow between us.

She may not say it aloud, but sometimes in the way she looks at me, in the way she hands me a plate of food, or even in the way she corrects me with her experience—I know she cares. And somewhere, in my own way, I care too.

Conclusion

I don’t know what the future holds for our relationship, but I do know that it will continue to evolve, just like any bond does. There will be ups and downs, good days and tough ones. But in the end, Mummyji will always be an important part of my journey, just like I am now a part of hers.

Some relationships are not built in a day. They take time, patience, and understanding. And maybe, just maybe, one day we’ll look back and realize that in our own way, we built something truly special.

A Father Figure I Never Knew, I Needed

A Father Figure I Never Knew, I Needed

Life has a strange way of bringing people into our lives—sometimes for a short time, but leaving behind an impact that lasts forever. My Papaji was one such person. Though my time with him was brief, the bond we shared was one of warmth, care, and a silent understanding that continues to stay with me even today.

The Beginning of a Beautiful Bond

My engagement took place on June 19, 2023, and little did I know that in just a few weeks, life would take an unexpected turn. My Papaji passed away on July 25, 2023—a loss that left a deep void in our family. But in that short span of time, he became one of the few people who genuinely cared for me in ways I had never experienced before.

The Calls That Meant Everything

I have always been independent when it comes to traveling. Whether it was going from Mumbai to Prayagraj or anywhere else, I never had the habit of expecting calls from family members checking on me. No one ever asked where I had reached, whether I had eaten, or how my journey was going.

But for the first time in my life, someone did.

My Papaji would call me four to five times during my journey just to ask:
"Beta, kaha tak pahunchi?"
"Kuch khaya ki nahi?"

These were simple words, but they carried so much love and care. Every time I reached home, he would call again just to check in. It was a kind of concern that I had never received before, and it made me feel truly valued.

Our Last Conversation

One day, I had gone to Nashik to visit a friend, and my Papaji told me to visit Sai Baba Mandir in Shirdi and Shani Shingnapur Temple. He even guided me about the traditions of the Shani temple, advising me not to take anything from there.

I never imagined that this would be our last conversation. His words still echo in my heart, as if he’s still guiding me, watching over me, and ensuring that I am safe and happy.

Feeling His Presence Even Today

After my wedding on December 9, 2023, life has changed in many ways. But one thing that hasn’t changed is how much I miss him. Every time I feel alone, unheard, or misunderstood, I find myself talking to his photo.

When I have a complaint about my Mummyji or my husband, I tell him.
When I feel lost, I seek his silent guidance.
And somehow, even today, I feel like he listens, understands, and quietly resolves my problems in his own way.

His last wish was for me to come home. I did—but he wasn’t there to welcome me.

Yet, in so many ways, I feel he never really left. He is still here, in my thoughts, in my prayers, and in the way I carry his memories with me every day.

Conclusion

Some people come into our lives and change us forever. My Papaji was one of them. His love, care, and presence continue to be my source of strength. I may not see him, but I feel him in every moment where I need guidance.

And maybe… that’s what love truly is. πŸ’™

My First Holi in Nagpur & Nityam's Grand Birthday Celebration

My First Holi in Nagpur & Nityam's Grand Birthday Celebration

This Holi was extra special for me, not just because it was my first Holi in Nagpur after marriage, but also because it was Nityam's birthday! Double celebrations meant double the fun, and the day turned out to be one of the most memorable ones of my life.

From the morning itself, the festive spirit was in the air. We played Holi with full enthusiasm, throwing colors, splashing water, and capturing all the beautiful moments in countless photos. Nityam was the happiest, running around with his friends and family, enjoying every bit of the celebration. His cousin Aman was also there, adding to the fun.

The grand birthday celebration took place with the entire family. Nityam’s bua, dadaji, dadiji, naniji, mamaji, and I—everyone gathered to make his day extra special. His building friends joined in, making the atmosphere even livelier. The biggest surprise of the day was his birthday gift—a bike! The happiness on his face was priceless when he saw it.

After the Holi celebrations, we all relished a delicious meal of idli and dosa, which felt like the perfect treat after all the colors and fun. We visited the temple, offering prayers and seeking blessings for Nityam’s bright and happy future.

The celebrations didn’t end there! At night, we all sat together for a fun round of playing cards, enjoying each other’s company, laughing, and making memories to cherish forever.

This day will always hold a special place in my heart, filled with joy, laughter, and the warmth of family. My first Holi in Nagpur turned out to be a festival of love, happiness, and unforgettable moments. ❤️

A Special Journey to Meet Nityam

A Special Journey to Meet Nityam

Traveling alone for the first time is always an adventure, and my journey to Chennai to meet Nityam was nothing short of special. Boarding my flight from Prayagraj to Chennai via Delhi, I was filled with excitement. The thought of seeing Nityam after so long made the entire trip worthwhile.

When I finally reached, the moment I saw him, his face lit up with joy, and that smile made my heart melt. It felt like all the miles I had traveled were worth it just for that moment. To make it even more special, Nityam came to pick me up from the airport himself! From that very moment, our time together was filled with unforgettable experiences.

He took me everywhere with him, making sure I was part of all his little adventures. Whether it was going to parks in the evening to play, visiting temples, or exploring the city, every moment felt magical. One of the most heartwarming things was when he made roti for me—such a sweet and thoughtful gesture that I will always remember.

We had so much fun playing together, clicking countless photos on Snapchat, and enjoying the simplest joys of life. In the evenings, we would go to the park to play, and sometimes, we even visited a late-night cafΓ© with Jiji and Jiju, making beautiful memories together. One of the highlights of our trip was visiting a fish marine place in Chennai, where we explored and admired the underwater world.

His laughter and pure happiness made me forget all my stress. Just being around him was enough to bring immense joy to my heart.

Leaving was never easy, but I carried with me a heart full of love and memories that will always remain close to me. I know that no matter the distance, our bond remains strong, and I look forward to more joyful moments together in the future.

Until we meet again, dear Nityam! You are truly special. ❤️

A Heartfelt Journey – My First Visit to Kalyan After Marriage

A Heartfelt Journey – My First Visit to Kalyan After Marriage

Introduction

After marriage, visiting your parental home for the first time brings a mix of emotions—excitement, nostalgia, and a deep longing for the past. In September 2024, I had the opportunity to visit Kalyan, Mumbai, for one week, a trip that was special for many reasons. It was not just about going home, but also about celebrating my mother’s and brother’s birthdays and reconnecting with family.

Returning Home – A Wave of Emotions

I arrived in Kalyan on September 22nd, and as soon as I stepped into my home, a wave of emotions hit me. It felt different—there was a void without my mother, and I missed her deeply. However, my father and brother, Avinash (Avi), welcomed me with so much love that I quickly felt at home again.

A Warm Welcome & Sweet Celebrations

  • One of my uncles surprised us by bringing a cake, and we celebrated at my dad’s office.
  • It felt good to be home, to sit in my old room, and to be around familiar places and people again.
  • One of the first things I did? Ate my first Vada Pav after so long—it was pure nostalgia!

Revisiting Responsibilities – Cleaning & Cooking

Living away had made me realize how much my mom handled everything at home. My dad and brother tried their best, but I could see they struggled with maintaining the house. So, I took charge!

  • I cleaned the house, making sure everything was fresh and neat.
  • I cooked their favorite meals, bringing back the flavors of home. Seeing their happy faces after a home-cooked meal was priceless.

Visiting Grandparents in Bhandup

A trip to Mumbai isn’t complete without visiting my grandparents in Bhandup. Spending time with them, listening to their stories, and reliving childhood memories made my visit even more special.

Birthday Celebrations – A Time of Love & Remembrance

Avinash’s Birthday – September 25

The middle of my trip was marked by my brother’s birthday. We kept it simple yet heartfelt—

  • Brought him a cake and made sure he felt special.
  • Wished him all the success and happiness in life.

Mom’s Birthday – September 26

This day was emotional for me. It was my first time celebrating her birthday without her presence. I missed her terribly, but I also knew she would have wanted us to smile and celebrate.

A Quick Visit to Nagpur

On the same evening (September 26), I made a spontaneous visit to Nagpur, to my sister-in-law’s place. Her son, Nityam, had been eagerly waiting for me and even called to invite me.

A Fun Day with Nityam

  • I reached Nagpur at 5 AM, where Jiju picked me up from the station.
  • As soon as I arrived, Nityam was waiting excitedly!
  • I brought him a game, and we played the whole day, making the most of our time together.
  • Spent quality time with Jiji & Jiju, enjoying every moment of love and laughter.

By the same evening, I was back in Kalyan, carrying with me the warmth and joy of the quick visit.

Final Days in Kalyan – Cherishing Every Moment

The remaining days of my trip were all about spending time with my father and Avi.

  • We shared stories, talked about life, and cherished our time together.
  • On September 30, I bid goodbye to Kalyan and returned to Prayagraj, carrying memories that would stay with me forever.

Conclusion – A Journey of Love & Nostalgia

This one-week visit was an emotional rollercoaster—
A heartfelt welcome from my family
The warmth of home & nostalgia
Celebrating birthdays with love
A fun-filled visit to Nagpur
Spending quality time with dad & Avi

Though leaving was tough, I knew that home is always there, waiting for me with open arms. Until next time, Kalyan! πŸ’–

Navratri Celebrations at My Husband’s Workplace – 9 Days of Devotion & Festivities

Navratri Celebrations at My Husband’s Workplace – 9 Days of Devotion & Festivities

Introduction

Navratri is one of the most vibrant and spiritually uplifting festivals, celebrated with devotion, dance, and joy. This year, I had a unique and memorable experience celebrating all 9 days of Navratri at my husband’s workplace, where there is a small temple that opens only during Navratri. The celebrations were grand, filled with prayers, music, and dance, making it an unforgettable festival.

The Temple at My Husband’s Workplace

Nestled within his factory (workplace) is a small but sacred temple, which is opened exclusively during Navratri. This made the occasion even more special, as it transformed the workplace into a spiritual and festive hub for nine days. With the participation of neighbors, workers, and friends, the celebrations turned into a beautiful community gathering.

9 Days of Devotion & Celebration

Each day of Navratri was celebrated with great enthusiasm, with aarti, bhajans, and prasad distribution. The temple was decorated with flowers, diyas, and colorful rangolis, creating a divine atmosphere.

Daily Puja & Aarti

  • Every morning and evening, we performed aarti with devotional songs, filling the space with positive energy.
  • The chanting of mantras, the sound of bells, and the fragrance of incense sticks made the environment truly spiritual.

Sangeet & Dance – The Fun Side of Navratri

  • No Navratri celebration is complete without music and dance! Every evening, we gathered for Garba and Dandiya, dancing to traditional beats with full enthusiasm.
  • Everyone, from young kids to elders, participated, making the nights joyous and energetic.

Prasad & Festive Delicacies

  • Each day, special prasad was prepared and distributed, including kheer, halwa, puris, and fruits.
  • On Ashtami (eighth day), Kanya Puja was performed, where little girls were invited and honored as forms of Goddess Durga.

A Grand & Memorable Celebration

Navratri at my husband’s workplace temple was not just about prayers; it was about togetherness, joy, and devotion. The experience of celebrating in a close-knit community, dancing, singing, and worshiping together made it truly special.

As the nine days came to an end, I felt deeply grateful for being a part of such a spiritual and festive celebration, and I look forward to celebrating many more Navratris in the years to come.

My First Karva Chauth – A Celebration of Love & Traditions

My First Karva Chauth – A Celebration of Love & Traditions

Introduction

Some festivals hold a special place in a married woman’s life, and Karva Chauth is one of them. It is not just about fasting but about love, commitment, and traditions that strengthen the bond between husband and wife. This year, I celebrated my first Karva Chauth with grandeur at home, surrounded by love, family, and beautiful traditions.

Preparations & Festive Excitement

From the moment the day started, there was a different kind of excitement in the air. The house was decorated, and preparations were in full swing. My neighborhood aunties came over to celebrate together, making it a lively and joyous gathering.

Applying Mehendi – A Symbol of Love

The night before Karva Chauth, I applied beautiful mehendi (henna) on my hands, which is believed to symbolize love and prosperity in married life. The darker the color, the stronger the bond—so I eagerly waited to see how deep my mehendi would turn!

Sargi – The Pre-Dawn Ritual

Early in the morning, before sunrise, I had Sargi, a special meal traditionally given by the mother-in-law. It included dry fruits, sweets, and fruits to keep energy levels up throughout the day. It was a unique experience, as this was my first time fasting for Karva Chauth.

Fasting with Devotion & Celebration with Neighbors

The day was filled with rituals and excitement. Though fasting without food and water until the moonrise was a challenge, the festive spirit and the company of my neighborhood aunties made the day joyful. We spent time together, sharing stories, singing Karva Chauth songs, and preparing for the evening puja.

Evening Puja & Breaking the Fast

As the evening approached, we all dressed up in beautiful traditional outfits, with bright bangles, sindoor, and a decorated puja thali. The Karva Chauth puja was performed with devotion, where we prayed for the long life and well-being of our husbands.

Finally, as the moon appeared, my husband helped me break my fast by offering me water and sweets, making the moment truly special. His loving gesture made all the fasting and waiting worthwhile!

A Memorable First Karva Chauth

My first Karva Chauth was more than just a festival—it was a beautiful experience of love, faith, and traditions. Celebrating it with my neighbors and family made it even more special, and I felt deeply grateful for all the love and blessings in my life.

I look forward to celebrating many more Karva Chauths in the coming years, cherishing the bond of love and togetherness.

A Joyful Celebration – My Visit to Delhi for My Nephew’s Chhathi Ceremony

A Joyful Celebration – My Visit to Delhi for My Nephew’s Chhathi Ceremony

Introduction

Some moments in life are truly special, and celebrating the arrival of a newborn in the family is one of them. After attending my second sister-in-law’s baby shower, I had the joy of visiting Delhi once again, this time for the Chhathi ceremony of her baby boy. Though traditionally held on the sixth day after birth, our family decided to celebrate it a month later, making it an even grander affair.

Reuniting with Family & Meeting the Little One

Returning to Delhi felt wonderful, but what made this trip extra special was finally meeting our family’s newest little member! Holding the tiny baby boy in my arms for the first time was an indescribable feeling—his soft fingers, sleepy eyes, and innocent expressions melted my heart instantly.

The Chhathi Ceremony – A Celebration of New Beginnings

Chhathi is a traditional Hindu ritual performed to bless the newborn with health, happiness, and a prosperous future. Since we celebrated it a month later, it gave us more time to prepare for a beautiful and well-organized gathering.

Traditional Puja & Rituals

The ceremony began with a puja performed by the elders, where prayers were offered for the baby’s well-being. The atmosphere was filled with the scent of incense and fresh flowers, creating a divine and peaceful setting. The baby was dressed in adorable new clothes, looking like a little prince as he received blessings from everyone.

Feast & Family Fun

After the rituals, the real celebration began! A delicious feast was prepared with traditional sweets, puris, sabzi, and kheer—a must-have for such occasions. The house was filled with laughter, joy, and the chatter of relatives who had come together to celebrate this beautiful moment.

A Night of Music & Masti

No family gathering is complete without some fun! The night ended with singing, dancing, and endless gossips, making it feel like a mini-wedding. Seeing the baby surrounded by so much love and happiness made the occasion truly memorable.

A Trip to Remember

This second visit to Delhi was even more special than the first because it marked the beginning of a new journey for our family. Watching my sister-in-law step into motherhood and being a part of my nephew’s first big celebration filled my heart with joy.

As I left Delhi, I couldn’t help but feel grateful for the beautiful memories made and looked forward to seeing my little nephew grow!

My First Visit to Sangam After Marriage – A Spiritual & Serene Experience

My First Visit to Sangam After Marriage – A Spiritual & Serene Experience

Introduction

Some places hold a special place in our hearts, not just for their beauty but for their spiritual and emotional significance. For me, Sangam in Prayagraj is one such place. On 5th November 2024, at 4 PM in the evening, I visited Sangam for the first time after my marriage, and the experience was nothing short of divine.

The Sacred Confluence – A Place of Faith & Peace

Sangam is the meeting point of three holy rivers—Ganga, Yamuna, and the mythical Saraswati. It is believed that taking a dip here washes away sins and brings spiritual purification. As I stepped onto the ghats, the sight of boats floating on the gentle waters, devotees performing rituals, and the soft chants of prayers in the air filled me with a sense of peace.

An Evening of Reflection & Serenity

The evening was calm, with the sun beginning to set, casting an orange glow over the sacred waters. The cool breeze carried the fragrance of incense and flowers as devotees offered their prayers.

I stood near the water, taking in the beauty of the moment, and thought about how life had changed after marriage. Visiting Sangam felt like a new beginning—a way to seek blessings for my new journey and express gratitude for everything I had.

Prayers & Offerings

While at Sangam, I lit a diya (earthen lamp) and let it float on the water, praying for happiness, love, and a peaceful married life. Watching the diya drift away felt symbolic, as if I was sending my wishes into the universe.

I also saw pilgrims taking a holy dip, believing in the sacred powers of the river. Though I didn’t take a dip this time, I felt deeply connected to the spiritual essence of the place.

A Memorable First Visit

As the sun set and the lamps around the ghat lit up, I felt a deep sense of peace and gratitude. Visiting Sangam for the first time after marriage was a moment I will always cherish—an experience that reminded me of the importance of faith, love, and new beginnings.

A Grand Wedding in Ayodhya – Family, Fun, and Unforgettable Memories

Introduction

Weddings are always special, but when it’s a family wedding, the excitement doubles! Recently, we attended the wedding of my sister-in-law (youngest daughter of my husband’s youngest Mausi) in the holy city of Ayodhya. With the entire family gathered, laughter, traditions, and endless fun filled every moment. From the sacred rituals to the joyful celebrations, this wedding became a treasure trove of beautiful memories.

The Joy of a Full Family Gathering

One of the best parts of the wedding was the reunion of our entire extended family. My mother-in-law’s five sisters (Mausiji) and their families arrived, along with the only brother (Mamaji) and his family. The house was buzzing with energy as cousins, uncles, and aunts gathered, sharing old stories and creating new memories.

The Wedding Festivities – A Blend of Tradition and Celebration

Haldi Ceremony – A Splash of Yellow and Laughter

The Haldi ceremony was pure joy! With turmeric smeared on the bride, laughter echoed as cousins playfully applied Haldi to each other. The air was filled with folk songs, teasing, and the fragrance of fresh flowers.

Sangeet – Dancing Our Hearts Out

What’s a wedding without dancing till our feet hurt? The Sangeet night turned into a full-on dance battle between different family groups. From Bollywood to folk songs, everyone participated, making it one of the most memorable events of the wedding.

The Wedding – A Sacred Union in the Holy City of Ayodhya

On the wedding day, the entire setup looked magical. With Ayodhya’s divine aura as the backdrop, the mandap was beautifully decorated with flowers and lights. As the sacred mantras were chanted, we all felt the spiritual energy of the place, making the wedding even more special.

The Baraat was full of energy—brothers and cousins dancing in front of the groom’s horse, dhol beats adding to the excitement, and elders watching with joy. As the bride and groom exchanged varmalas, we all cheered, knowing that a new journey was beginning for them.

Late-Night Fun and Endless Talks

Even after the wedding rituals ended, the fun didn’t stop! Cousins stayed up late, gossiping, pulling pranks, and clicking countless pictures. These are the moments that make weddings truly unforgettable.

Final Thoughts

This wedding wasn’t just about the rituals—it was about togetherness, laughter, and celebrating love. With the entire family under one roof, the joy of reunion, and the sacred beauty of Ayodhya, it became a wedding to remember forever.

Family Time in Prayagraj – A Special Visit, Temples, and Late-Night Fun

Family Time in Prayagraj – A Special Visit, Temples, and Late-Night Fun

Introduction

There’s something truly special about family visits—the warmth of togetherness, the joy of exploring places, and those endless late-night conversations. Recently, my Mamiji-in-law (husband’s Mami) and her son, Prakhar Bhaiya, visited us in Prayagraj from Ballia. Their short stay turned into a memorable time filled with temple visits, late-night fun, and heartfelt conversations.

Temple Visits – Seeking Blessings Together

Since Mamiji and Prakhar Bhaiya had come from far, we decided to take them to some of Prayagraj’s most revered temples.

Alopi Mata Temple – The Mysterious Shakti Peeth

The first stop was Alopi Mata Temple, known for its unique absence of an idol and instead, a swing (jhula) worshipped as the goddess. My mother-in-law and I accompanied Mamiji, and together, we prayed for peace, happiness, and prosperity for our families. The divine energy of the temple filled our hearts with devotion.

Sri Veni Madhav Mandir, Daraganj – A Personal Connection

Being a special place for me and my husband (as we got engaged there), visiting Sri Veni Madhav Mandir was particularly meaningful. Standing in front of the deity, I felt grateful for the journey of life, family, and faith. The temple’s peaceful aura made the visit even more special as we prayed together.

Late-Night Fun – Soda Drinks and Endless Gossip

After the spiritual outings, the evening took a different turn. My husband, Prakhar Bhaiya, and I decided to head out late at night for a casual drive around Civil Lines.

Chilled Soda Drinks in Civil Lines

There’s something exciting about stepping out late at night for a simple yet refreshing drink. We found a local soda stall, and under the dim streetlights, we enjoyed the fizzy coolness of different soda flavors. The laughter, random jokes, and carefree vibes made it one of those unplanned moments that become unforgettable.

Gossiping Till 2 AM – Conversations That Never End

Once we returned home, none of us were sleepy. So, we sat together—me, my husband, and Prakhar Bhaiya—and started chatting about everything and anything. From childhood stories and family talks to random fun topics, time just flew by. Before we knew it, the clock struck 2 AM, but none of us wanted the night to end.

Final Thoughts

Some of the best memories in life aren’t always about grand trips or expensive outings. Sometimes, it’s just about spending time with family, sharing laughter, and making small moments special. This visit from Mamiji and Prakhar Bhaiya reminded me of the joy of togetherness, the beauty of traditions, and the fun of late-night adventures.

A Visit to My Naniji – A Home Filled with Love and Warmth

A Visit to My Naniji – A Home Filled with Love and Warmth

Introduction

There is a special kind of comfort in visiting Naniji’s house—a place where childhood memories, unconditional love, and the warmth of family come together. Recently, I had the chance to visit my Naniji, who stays in Prayagraj, and the experience was nothing short of heartwarming. From her affectionate welcome to the nostalgic moments spent in her home, every bit of the visit felt like a return to my roots.

The Joy of Reaching Naniji’s Home

As I stepped into her house, the first thing that greeted me was Naniji’s warm smile. There’s something magical about grandmothers—they make you feel special just by looking at you. She held my hand, looked at me with love, and said, “Kitni patli ho gayi hai, khana dhang se nahi kha rahi?” (You’ve lost weight, are you not eating properly?). That was her way of showing love, and I couldn’t help but smile.

The familiar scent of her home, the old wooden furniture, and the cozy atmosphere made me feel at peace. It was as if time had slowed down, and I was once again a child running around in her courtyard.

Naniji’s Special Food – A Taste of Love

One of the best parts of visiting Naniji is the homemade food. She knows exactly what I love and always makes sure to cook my favorite dishes. This time, she prepared hot puris with aloo sabzi, homemade achar, and fresh curd—a meal that I can never get tired of. Sitting on the floor and eating with my hands, just like I used to as a kid, made the experience even more nostalgic.

Of course, no visit to Naniji’s house is complete without her special sweets. She lovingly fed me besan ladoos, reminding me how she used to make them during festivals when I was younger.

Stories, Laughter, and Endless Conversations

After lunch, we sat together in her favorite spot—near the window overlooking the street. We talked about everything—family, life, and little childhood incidents that she remembers better than I do. She shared stories of my mother’s childhood, making me laugh at how mischievous she used to be.

Naniji’s house always feels like a treasure chest of memories. Looking at old photographs, flipping through her collection of letters and postcards, and listening to her stories made me realize how precious these moments are.

Evening Stroll and a Visit to the Neighborhood Temple

In the evening, we went for a short walk to the nearby temple. Holding my hand, just like she used to when I was a kid, she led the way. It felt like time had reversed, and I was once again the little granddaughter following her footsteps. We offered prayers, and she blessed me with all the love in her heart.

The Hardest Part – Saying Goodbye

As the evening passed, it was time to leave. Saying goodbye to Naniji is always the hardest part. She packed some homemade snacks for me, as she always does, and reminded me to visit more often. As I hugged her tightly before leaving, I felt grateful for her presence in my life.

Final Thoughts

Visiting Naniji’s house is more than just a trip—it’s a journey back to love, warmth, and beautiful memories. In our busy lives, we often forget how precious these moments are, but spending time with her reminded me of the importance of family and the simple joys of life.

An Evening at Sangam – A Divine Experience with My Husband

An Evening at Sangam – A Divine Experience with My Husband

Introduction

There’s something magical about visiting a holy place with the one you love. Recently, my husband and I went to Triveni Sangam in the evening, and it turned out to be one of the most peaceful and memorable experiences. The gentle waves of the river, the golden hues of the setting sun, and the spiritual aura of the place made the visit truly special.

The Journey to Sangam

As the sun began its descent, we decided to take a short trip to Sangam. The cool evening breeze carried the scent of incense and flowers as we approached the sacred riverbank. The atmosphere was calm yet filled with devotion—priests performing aarti, devotees taking a dip, and boats floating gently on the holy waters.

The Beauty of Sangam at Sunset

Sangam, the confluence of the Ganga, Yamuna, and the mythical Saraswati rivers, looked breathtaking in the evening light. The sky turned shades of orange and pink, reflecting beautifully on the water’s surface. The sight of birds flying over the river and the rhythmic sound of water lapping against the boats created a serene and romantic setting.

A Peaceful Boat Ride

We decided to take a boat ride to experience the beauty of Sangam up close. As our boat drifted across the sacred waters, we felt a deep sense of peace. My husband and I sat quietly, enjoying the moment, occasionally dipping our hands into the cool water. The boatman shared stories about the spiritual significance of the place, making the ride even more meaningful.

Evening Aarti and Spiritual Vibes

As we returned to the shore, we witnessed the evening aarti at the riverbank. The sight of devotees lighting diyas and offering prayers added to the divine energy of the place. We joined our hands in silent prayer, feeling grateful for this beautiful moment together.

A Perfect End to the Evening

Before heading home, we stopped by a small tea stall near the riverbank and enjoyed a hot cup of chai with some crispy pakoras. The simplicity of the moment—watching the river, sipping tea, and talking about life—made our visit even more special.

Final Thoughts

Visiting Sangam in the evening with my husband was not just a spiritual experience but also a reminder of the beauty of shared moments. The peace of the river, the glow of diyas, and the warmth of togetherness made it an evening to cherish forever.

A Road Trip to Chitrakoot – A Journey of Devotion and Togetherness

A Road Trip to Chitrakoot – A Journey of Devotion and Togetherness

Introduction

Traveling is not just about visiting new places; it’s about the experiences we share with our loved ones. Recently, I had the opportunity to embark on a spiritual road trip to Chitrakoot with my family – Appu Bhaiya, Mausiji, Mausaji, cousin Chunmun, and my bhanja Akshay. This journey was not just about exploring temples but also about strengthening bonds and creating beautiful memories.

The Journey Begins

We started our road trip early in the morning, excited for the adventure ahead. The drive from Prayagraj to Chitrakoot, covering approximately 130 km, was filled with scenic views, refreshing countryside air, and lively conversations. The roads were smooth, and as we moved closer to our destination, the landscape transformed into a spiritual aura with hills and temples in sight.

Our car was filled with laughter, discussions about the legends of Chitrakoot, and the occasional teasing among family members. Akshay, being the youngest, kept us entertained with his endless energy and curiosity about the trip.

Chitrakoot – The Land of Lord Ram

Chitrakoot holds immense significance in Hindu mythology. It is believed to be the place where Lord Ram, Sita, and Lakshman spent a significant part of their exile. The town is surrounded by divine temples, sacred ghats, and natural beauty that instantly fills one with peace.

Exploring the Temples of Chitrakoot

1. Ram Ghat – The Holy Riverside

Our first stop was Ram Ghat, a serene riverbank on the Mandakini River, where Lord Ram and Sita are believed to have walked. We sat by the steps, soaking in the peaceful surroundings, watching devotees take a dip in the holy waters. The sight of floating diyas in the evening was mesmerizing.

2. Kamadgiri Temple – A Sacred Parikrama

Next, we visited Kamadgiri Temple, which is considered the heart of Chitrakoot. It is said that Lord Ram and Sita stayed here during their exile. We performed the parikrama (circumambulation) around the hill, walking through narrow streets filled with devotees, small temples, and local shops selling prasad and religious items.

3. Hanuman Dhara – The Blessings of Lord Hanuman

Reaching Hanuman Dhara required climbing several hundred steps, but the effort was totally worth it. A beautiful waterfall cascades near Lord Hanuman’s idol, and the cool mist refreshed us after the climb. Mausaji and Mausiji were particularly happy to visit this temple, as they are great devotees of Lord Hanuman.

4. Sati Anusuya Temple – A Place of Spiritual Energy

We also visited the Sati Anusuya Temple, dedicated to Sage Atri’s wife, Anusuya Mata. The surroundings were peaceful, and we spent some time here meditating. Chunmun and I explored the nearby areas, while Appu Bhaiya shared some mythological stories about the place.

A Memorable Family Trip

Apart from visiting temples, we enjoyed local delicacies like kachori, jalebi, and chai at a small eatery near Ram Ghat. The journey back was just as fun, with everyone recalling their favorite moments of the trip.

This road trip to Chitrakoot was more than just a pilgrimage – it was a beautiful mix of spirituality, adventure, and family bonding. Traveling with my loved ones made the experience even more special, and I cherish every moment of it.

Minto Park (Madan Mohan Malviya Park) – A Historic Riverside Retreat in Prayagraj

Minto Park (Madan Mohan Malviya Park) – A Historic Riverside Retreat in Prayagraj

Located along the serene banks of the Yamuna River, Minto Park, now known as Madan Mohan Malviya Park, is a place where history, nature, and peaceful surroundings come together. It is one of Prayagraj’s most significant landmarks, known for its colonial-era history and tranquil ambiance, making it a must-visit for both history enthusiasts and nature lovers.

A Place of Historical Importance

Minto Park holds a special place in India’s colonial history. It was here that, in 1906, Lord Minto, the then Viceroy of India, officially announced the Partition of Bengal, a move that later led to significant protests in the Indian freedom struggle. A stone plaque at the park marks this momentous event.

Later, the park was renamed Madan Mohan Malviya Park in honor of the great freedom fighter and educationist, Madan Mohan Malviya, who played a key role in India's independence movement and the founding of Banaras Hindu University (BHU).

My Visit to Minto Park in 2018

Beyond its historical significance, this park holds special memories for me. In 2018, I visited Minto Park with my cousin (didi), and it was a beautiful, peaceful experience.

Walking along the riverside promenade, with the gentle breeze from the Yamuna brushing against our faces, felt incredibly calming. The park’s lush greenery, well-maintained lawns, and peaceful atmosphere made it the perfect spot to unwind. We sat on one of the benches, watching the river flow and the birds fly across the sky, lost in deep conversations.

The historic plaque stood as a silent witness to the past, while life continued peacefully around it. Even today, I cherish that visit, as it was a perfect blend of history, tranquility, and quality time spent with family.

Why Visit Minto Park?

🌿 Serene Greenery – Ideal for peaceful walks and relaxation.
πŸ› Historical Significance – Witness the plaque marking an important moment in India’s past.
🌊 Riverside Beauty – Enjoy scenic views of the Yamuna River.
πŸ“Έ Great for Photography – Capture stunning landscapes and historical elements.

Best Time to Visit

The best time to visit is during the early morning or late evening, when the park is calm, breezy, and perfect for a quiet retreat. Winters are especially pleasant, offering the best experience for a peaceful outing.

Final Thoughts

Minto Park is not just a historical site; it’s a sanctuary of peace and nature, where one can relax, reflect, and connect with the past. For me, it will always remain a place filled with beautiful memories from my 2018 visit with my cousin. Whether you come for its history, scenic beauty, or peaceful ambiance, this park has something to offer for everyone.

Company Garden (Chandrashekhar Azad Park) – A Historic Haven in Prayagraj

Company Garden (Chandrashekhar Azad Park) – A Historic Haven in Prayagraj

Nestled in the heart of Prayagraj, Company Garden, officially known as Chandrashekhar Azad Park, is not just a scenic retreat but a place of historical significance and personal nostalgia for me. This park, named after the great freedom fighter Chandrashekhar Azad, is where he made his last stand against British forces in 1931, choosing to embrace martyrdom rather than surrender.

A Park Steeped in History

Originally built by the British as Alfred Park, this sprawling garden has witnessed India’s fight for independence. The grand Chandrashekhar Azad Memorial stands here as a tribute to the fearless revolutionary who spent his last moments fighting for his motherland. The park also houses the Public Library, a grand colonial-era building, and the Madan Mohan Malviya Stadium, adding to its historical charm.

My Special Connection with Company Garden

Beyond its history, this park holds a special place in my heart. Back in 2018, I used to visit Company Garden every morning with my cousin (didi). Those peaceful hours spent walking among the tall, shady trees, fresh morning air, and beautifully landscaped gardens remain some of my fondest memories.

I still remember the early morning mist, the sound of birds chirping, and the sight of elderly groups practicing yoga while children played freely. It was my escape from the city’s hustle, a place where I could breathe, reflect, and feel connected to nature.

What to See at Company Garden

🌳 Chandrashekhar Azad Memorial – A statue marking the spot where Azad took his last breath.
πŸ“š Allahabad Public Library – The largest library in Uttar Pradesh, with a grand colonial structure.
πŸ› Victoria Memorial – A historic monument from the British era.
🌸 Lush Gardens & Walkways – Perfect for morning walks, jogging, and relaxation.
Madan Mohan Malviya Stadium – A sports hub for local athletes.

Why Visit Company Garden?

  • To relive history and honor Chandrashekhar Azad’s sacrifice.
  • To enjoy peaceful morning walks in a lush, green environment.
  • To explore colonial-era architecture and historic monuments.
  • To unwind, exercise, or simply soak in nature’s beauty.

Best Time to Visit

Early mornings and evenings are the best times to enjoy the park’s serenity and fresh air. Winters (October–March) are especially pleasant, making it a perfect season for outdoor strolls.

Final Thoughts

For me, Company Garden is not just a park—it’s a place filled with history, memories, and peaceful moments. Whether you visit to pay tribute to Azad, explore history, or simply take a walk among nature, this place will leave you with something special.
