  🇮🇳 80 Years of Independence — But Are We Truly Free? 15 August 2026. India celebrates its 80th Independence Day . For 80 years, we have proudly said that we are free. Free from colonial rule. Free to speak. Free to choose. Free to dream. Every year, we raise the national flag, sing Vande Mataram , remember our freedom fighters, and proudly say: “We are free.” 🇮🇳 But today, I want to ask a different question. Are we really free? Not as a country. As individuals. Because sometimes, the biggest prisons don't have walls. They exist inside our minds, hearts, fears, expectations, and relationships. We may be physically free, but emotionally, many of us are still carrying invisible chains. 🕊️ Freedom From Within There may be a woman who smiles every morning, prepares breakfast, takes care of her family, attends social gatherings and looks perfectly happy.
