June Memories

June Memories — Mumbai, Maayka, Family, Food & So Much Love ❤️

Some places are not just places.

They are feelings.

And for me, Mumbai is home, family, childhood memories, my favourite food, old friendships, and most importantly — my maayka. ❤️

Now that I am looking back at June from August, I realise just how beautiful and memorable that month was. June gave me so many reasons to smile — meeting my family, eating my favourite food every single day, spending time with old friends, playing with my little Laddu, travelling, exploring new places, and creating beautiful memories with my husband and my family.

Back to Mumbai — Back to My People ❤️

One of the happiest parts of June was reaching Mumbai and finally meeting Dad and my brother Avi.

There is a different kind of happiness in being with your own family. The comfort, the conversations, the laughter, and simply being around the people you have grown up with — nothing can replace that feeling.

And of course, being at home meant one more very important thing…

My Favourite Food — Every Single Day! 😋

Idli with nariyal ki chutney!

My absolute favourite!

I could happily eat it every day, and honestly, I almost did. 😂

There is something so comforting about having your favourite homemade food at your maayka. No matter how many fancy dishes you try outside, some simple home-cooked food will always have a special place in your heart.

For me, idli and coconut chutney = pure happiness. ❤️

A Beautiful Evening at Kharghar

During my Mumbai stay, I also visited my uncle and aunt's place in Kharghar.

Meeting them was extra special because my uncle, Tymbake Uncle, has been a close friend of Dad since our childhood. He is one of those people who has been a part of our family's journey for years.

Meeting childhood family friends brings back so many memories. It feels like no time has passed, even after years.

A big thank you to Deepali Di for making the evening even more special.

She surprised me with my favourite Madhur Vada ordered through Zomato. ❤️

And because good food and good company always go together, we also went to the ISKCON Temple.

After that, Aunt prepared a special dinner for us at home. We spent such a lovely evening together, talking, eating, laughing, and enjoying each other's company.

Eventually, we left for home and reached Kalyan around 1:30 AM.

It was a long day, but absolutely worth it.

Meeting Nirosha — Some Bonds Never Change ❤️

I also met my dear friend Nirosha, who is actually my brother Avi's school classmate.

Some friendships don't need constant meetings or daily conversations to remain strong.

When we met, it felt like we had simply picked up from where we left off.

The same comfort.

The same bonding.

The same laughter.

The same connection from the very beginning.

Meeting her made me feel so good and genuinely happy to be back in Mumbai.

It reminded me that some relationships beautifully survive the distance and the passing years.

My Little Laddu — The Star of My June ❤️

But if there was one little person who occupied most of my time in Mumbai, it was my Laddu — my friend Dolly's son.

Most of my days were spent with him.

And honestly, I didn't mind it one bit!

His cute little voice completely melts my heart.

“Maasi, khelo na…”

“Maasi… Maasi…”

That little voice calling me again and again was probably one of my favourite sounds of the entire month.

He showered me with so much innocent love, affection, hugs, and endless cuteness.

Every day with him was filled with games, laughter, cuddles, and little conversations that I wish I could record forever.

Now, when I look back at June, I miss him terribly.

I miss my Laddu so much. ❤️

When My Husband Finally Came to Mumbai

After spending some beautiful time with my family, my husband also came to my place in Mumbai for the very first time.

It was special for me because I wanted him to experience my world — my family, my home, my favourite food, my people, and the places that hold so many memories for me.

I hope he enjoyed every bit of it — especially all the food! 😄

And the day he arrived was even more special because we celebrated Father's Day together.

Having both families and loved ones around made the day even more meaningful.

Exploring Mumbai & Maharashtra Together

June was not only about staying at home.

We went out, explored different places, visited temples, enjoyed food, went shopping, and made so many memories together.

Here are some of the places we visited:

🛕 Mahalaxmi Temple & Haji Ali

We visited Mahalaxmi Temple and Haji Ali, spending some peaceful time together and enjoying the beautiful surroundings.

🙏 Siddhivinayak Temple

Another special visit was to Siddhivinayak Temple.

Temple visits always bring a different kind of peace, and it felt wonderful to seek blessings together.

🛕 Shiv Temple, Ulhasnagar

We also visited a Shiv Temple in Ulhasnagar, adding another beautiful spiritual memory to the month.

🎢 Imagicaa, Khopoli

And then came the fun!

We went to Imagicaa at Khopoli and enjoyed a day filled with excitement, laughter, rides, and lots of fun.

It was nice to take a break from everyday life and simply enjoy ourselves like children again.

🛍️ Metro Junction Mall

There was also plenty of shopping!

We visited Metro Junction Mall, spent time exploring the shops, enjoyed food, and of course, did lots of shopping.

Because no Mumbai visit is complete without a little shopping! 😄

🌧️ Lonavala Trip

One of the biggest highlights of June was our Lonavala trip.

We visited Bhushi Dam, Tiger Point, and Mapro Garden.

The green hills, beautiful views, cool weather, and the overall atmosphere made the trip so refreshing. Lonavala is especially known for places like Bhushi Dam and Tiger's Point, while Mapro Garden is another popular stop in the area.

We clicked pictures, enjoyed the views, laughed together, ate delicious food, and simply enjoyed the journey.

We also visited Narayani Dham, adding a peaceful spiritual moment to our trip.

It was one of those days where the journey itself became a beautiful memory.

🛍️ And Of Course… Lots of Shopping!

June also included lots and lots of shopping!

From small things to things I had been wanting to buy, shopping was definitely part of my Mumbai memories.

After all, coming to Mumbai and going back without shopping is almost impossible! 😂

My Close Buddy — Vini the Pooh 🧸❤️

June also gave me the chance to meet my Vini the Pooh — my close buddy — after such a long time in Kalyan.

Meeting her again felt so good! Some friendships have that special comfort where you can meet after a long gap and still talk as if you had met just yesterday.

And of course, our meeting had to include lots and lots of gossip! 😂

We talked, laughed, shared stories, caught up on everything we had missed, and then decided to bring out our playful side with a little time at the play zone.

Yes, we are grown-ups… but that doesn't mean we can't enjoy a little playtime! 😄🎮

Vini, meeting you after so long was truly special. Some bonds just pick up exactly where they left off. ❤️

And Then… Back to Prayagraj

After spending such a beautiful and eventful month in Mumbai, the time finally came to leave.

It was not easy to say goodbye.

Mumbai had given me everything I had been craving — time with Dad, Avi, family, friends, my favourite food, my Laddu, old memories, new experiences, temple visits, shopping, travelling, and so much love.

And then it was time to return to Prayagraj.

I left Mumbai with a heart full of memories.

Looking Back at June From August ❤️

Now, as I write this in August, June feels like a beautiful little chapter that has already become a memory.

I miss sitting with Dad.

I miss spending time with Avi.

I miss my favourite idli and coconut chutney.

I miss meeting Nirosha.

I miss my Laddu calling out, “Maasi… Maasi…”

I miss the laughter, the food, the shopping, the temple visits, the road trips, and all those ordinary moments that became extraordinary simply because I was surrounded by people I love.

June was not just a month in Mumbai.

It was a month of coming home. ❤️

A month of reconnecting with old bonds.

A month of meeting new memories with my husband.

A month of family, friends, food, travel, prayers, laughter, and love.

And most importantly, a reminder that no matter how far life takes us…

Maayka will always feel like home. ❤️

Dear June, thank you for giving me so many beautiful memories to look back on.

Until the next Mumbai visit…
I will carry these memories — and miss my people a little extra. ❤️
